Perfume Review: Jimmy Choo by Jimmy Choo

I first smelled the new Jimmy Choo fragrance about 3 months ago when it had just been launched in Sephora and back then, I wasn't very sure about it. I thought it was nice, but I didn't really feel the urge to buy it. I retested it again several times whenever I stopped by Sephora and it really grew on me, until one day when I decided I do like it and I want to get a bottle. I've been using it ever since. I think my favorite thing about it is the way it lingers on my clothes, my scarf and my jacket smell delicious.

Movies 2011: 'War Horse' Directed By Steven Spielberg - First Trailer

Steven Spielberg’s War Horse is the film version of the play set during World War I which is a stage adaptation of the book War Horse, a children's fiction novel by Michael Morpurgo first published in UK in 1982.  The official synopsis for the film was released by DreamWorks in December 2010:

"From director Steven Spielberg comes “War Horse,” an epic adventure for audiences of all ages. Set against a sweeping canvas of rural England and Europe during the First World War, “War Horse” begins with the remarkable friendship between a horse named Joey and a young man called Albert, who tames and trains him. The First World War is experienced through the journey of this horse—an odyssey of joy and sorrow, passionate friendship and high adventure. “War Horse” is one of the great stories of friendship and war—a successful book, it was turned into a hugely successful international theatrical hit that is arriving on Broadway next year. The film, directed by David Cronenberg, will be screened at the Venice Film Festival in September. A wider European release will follow in late fall through early 2012. This will be David Cronenberg's third movie with Viggo Mortensen after A History of Violence and Eastern Promises.

Hailee Steinfeld is the new face of Miu Miu and her first ad has surfaced. Shot by Bruce Weber, it is set in a field by some railroad tracks and of course, it looks very Miu Miu (socks and sandals, hello?)

Steinfeld's stylist Karla Welch said: "We formed a relationship with them at the SAG Awards. Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear."

Valentino will launch a new fragrance for women, called Valentina in September. The will be the brand’s first fragrance under new licensing arrangements with Puig.

The new scent, meant to be 'sensual and sexy, elegant, rebellious and fun', is classified as a floral-oriental. The notes feature bergamot, white truffle, white flowers, strawberry, cedar, amber and vanilla.

Britney Spears has just premiered her brand new video for the song I Wanna Go, off  her Femme Fatale album. Given the fact that this song has been a huge favorite among her fans, I think the video would have deserved a little better. But hey, Britney's looking good again, even in the Avril Lavigne-esque outfit and all, and that's impressive, considering what this girl has been through. Noted: the tongue-in-cheek movie theater ad in the background that reads “Crossroads 2: Cross Harder“, a reference to her flop movie Crossroads from 2002. If you missed it, it's at 2:31.

Inspired by the story, everyone who knows the young man work together to create a prosthetic appendage for the dolphin, who in turn becomes an inspiration to people with special needs.

A new round of celebrity fragrances is going to hit the stores in the next months.

Jessica Simpson will launch her 4th fragrance, called I Fancy You, presented in the signature bottle of her Fancy line. The scent is described as floral-musky, soft and feminine. The fragrance opens with fruity notes of Fuji apple and pear. The heart is made of white flowers such as tuberose and lily of the valley, settling at the woody-musky sandalwood base.

I Fancy You will be available in 50 ml and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

Burberry has unveiled the new Autumn/Winter 2011 ad campaign and the new Autumn/Winter 2011 accessories collection and you can preview both of them in the beautiful pictures and videos below.

Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer:”I was inspired by iconic British portraits and our own archive campaigns from the late 1960s of Jean Shrimpton using her trench coat to shelter herself from the poetic and romantic British weather. We wanted to create a group of portraits celebrating British actors, musicians and models.”

The campaign showcases the diversity of the Burberry guy and girl and features an all British cast of actors, musicians and models, shot in London by Mario Testino.

New Perfume: Beyonce 'Pulse' - Photos

Beyonce will launch her third fragrance, developed in partnership with Coty, in September. Classified as a floral-citrus-gourmand, it is called Pulse and includes top notes of pear blossom, frozen bergamot and Blue Curacao liqueur. The heart features Bluebird orchid (for the first time used in a fragrance), peony and midnight blooming jasmine. The base is made with Madagascar vanilla, musk and precious woods.

I really like what W Magazine have been doing with their cover shoots over the last couple of years or so, and while Aguilera's photos are nothing to write home about, Beyonce's cover shoot looks really good. Bold colors, great outfits and styling. Yeah, I'm gonna need that Louis Vuitton cashmere jacket (perfect for fall) in the last pic and also the Louis Vuitton top on the cover.

Oh boy, if I were Christina, I'd kind of feel bad about the whole thing. I mean, Beyonce's photo shoot is like...wow, but Christina...they didn't even give the poor girl clothes to wear on the cover :P

Joss Stone Is Back With New Single 'Somehow'

Joss Stone will return next month with a new album, called 'LP1', her first release since leaving EMI Records and going independent. The album is produced by and co-written with Dave Stewart from Eurythmics and is due out on July 26 (US & Rest of World) and August 1st (UK).

The first single taken from 'LP1' is called Somehow and it's one heck of a track where Joss Stone gets to flaunt her fantastic voice. Somehow is a bit more raw and edgier than many of Joss Stone's previous songs but that seems to fit the tone of her new album and I say this because, from the album preview that she offered a short while ago, it seems that she really let herself go on this album and used her voice to full potential. In other words, the girl sings her butt off (click here for the album preview video).

Here's what producer Dave Stewart had to say: "Joss can sing with the ferocity of a lioness and dynamically switch to the most delicate whisper in the same phrase. She is always honest and full of real emotion. It is an honor to work alongside a true artist who understands so much at such a young age."
