Christina Ricci covers the new issue of Emmy magazine, more below.
On loving her show, Pan Am: “It’s like an ultimate flight of fantasy. We’re women living in 2011 and we get to go way back and dress up every day in vintage clothes and be in a completely different world.”
On how her mom’s advice helped her prepare for show biz: “She taught me how I should never feel rejected, because most of the time people have an idea of what they want before you ever walk in a room - it’s a blonde, it’s a redhead, whatever. It’s what fits for them; it’s not about you. And that was a huge gift, because I got to go through all of my auditions never feeling hurt.”
On why she wanted to work on Pan Am: “Whenever something looks like it’s going to be well done and beautiful, I always want to be a part of it. I saw this as being a beautiful show, something that would be fun.”
