Burberry 'Midnight Brown' Eyeshadow - Review, Swatches

After my first forays into the world of Burberry cosmetics, here's a more detailed look at Burberry's Sheer Eye Shadow in Midnight Brown (no.21). This was launched as part of the Burberry Beauty Autumn/Winter 2011 collection and it is a permanent addition to the line. It is a gorgeous, multidimensional, complex shade. A medium brown with multi-colored micro shimmer and various undertones, depending on the lighting. The shimmer is more visible in the pan and very subtle once the eyeshadow is applied. I can detect taupe, gold, silver and green undertones, even a 'barely there' touch of red, it is amazing. It is very pigmented, a little goes a long way with this eyeshadow.

The formula is heavenly, it feels incredibly smooth and soft, it is easy to apply and blend, it adheres well to skin, it doesn't crumble and there's no fallout. The texture is beautiful, and just like other Burberry products, it is versatile and buildable, so you can use it to create a lighter look as well as a more dramatic one. The lasting power is excellent. Midnight Brown comes in a black velvet pouch inside the trademark Burberry metallic check case. It is one of my favorite shades from the line and I highly recommend it. Check out more pics and swatches below.
