Eva Longoria for Latina Magazine October 2014

On her own career aspirations: “People go, ‘How does it feel to be so successful?’ and I always think, God, I haven’t even tapped into my potential as a human being. There’s so much more I want to do with my craft and with the industry I’m in. There’s so much more I can be and can do that I can’t wait until I evolve to the complete human being that I’m supposed to be."

On what she loves and hates about politics: “I think people go, ‘Oh, you like politics and politicians?’ And I say I don’t like politics and I don’t like politicians, but I love the political process. And I love how the most powerful person in the political process is the citizen.”

On the current immigration debate and what makes her angry after shooting Frontera, her first Spanish-speaking role: “Nothing angers me more than to see talking heads on TV who don’t know what they are talking about. You have to study the history of immigration and patterns in order to understand why this is happening right now. I just wish people would view this with a lens of compassion and at the same time education themselves on ignorant statements like, these people come here to suck dry our social services. That is not true."
